Confirmed route

1. Lighthouse - learn the fishing loop and build the first cash buffer.
2. Forest - unlock the Island 2 pool and begin using the next bait tier.
3. Desert - find the tourist and collect endangered quest fish.
4. Rocks - move into the Professional Lure stage.
5. Volcano - use Scientific Lure for the late pool.

Finish the current local objective before expecting new coordinates. The repeating rule is: complete the local request, prepare the boss bait, defeat the boss, return its named drop to the NPC, and then follow the new radar dot.

The safe hand-in habit

Keep one inventory slot open, carry the next bait tier, and do not sell unusual fish until the nearby NPC dialogue is resolved. This costs less time than returning to an island after a patch or a mistaken sale.

Start with the beginner route if the Lighthouse loop is still slow. On the Desert island (often called Island 3), read the tourist quest guide before selling a Needlefish.
