How to Fish Tourist Quest and Vacation Achievement

Reach the Desert island, often called Island 3, and keep a Needlefish in your inventory while you search for the tourist under the tree. Do not treat Bowl Fish or Seahorse as confirmed substitutes until the game or a new source verifies them.

Safe completion route

1. Bring Standard Lure and enough cash for a few extra casts.
2. Catch and keep a Needlefish instead of selling it immediately.
3. Find the tourist and finish the dialogue before leaving the island.
4. Claim the Carrot reward and keep it for the Pufferfish route.

The key mistake is selling the fish before the hand-in. If the objective text changes after a patch, follow the live objective and treat this page as a route reminder.

Use the fish database to identify the Needlefish setup, then keep the pufferfish boss guide open after the reward is claimed.
