How to Fish Weapons and Upgrades: What to Buy Next
Choose the upgrade that removes your current combat or reel bottleneck instead of chasing the biggest shop number.
Upgrade order
- Rod first: access and tension capacity help every island.
- Bait reserve second: the correct lure prevents dead casts.
- Weapon when needed: buy it when a boss or combat objective is the actual blocker.
The early Forest shop is the first verified weapon stop, with the Shotgun recommended for cramped boss arenas. Later, the Rocks island Albatross is easier with an Uzi or Sniper Rifle because it stays airborne and attacks from range. Use the weapon you can control reliably, then replace it when a new boss exposes a real damage problem.
